What the role is:Description of Group: The Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children, families and vulnerable adults (VAs). We protect and rehabilitate the abused and delinquent. Description of Division/Branch: The various out-of-home care options for vulnerable children in Singapore include placement in foster care or children\'s homes. The Children in Care Service (CIC) provides oversight to this sector and collaborates with partners to enhance essential services and capabilities to strengthen care options for these children. Through these efforts, CIC aims to achieve positive outcomes for these children, helping them grow into productive members of society.What you will be working on:Brief description of Job Scope: You will play a key role in service management of the Foster Care Sector. You will be working with the Social Service Agencies appointed as Fostering Agencies (FAs) and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and promulgate best practices to safeguard the safety and well-being of foster children (FCs) and support foster parents (FPs). Responsibilities: As part of the Fostering Service within CIC, you will \xe2\x80\xa2 Report to a Manager in the Sector and Capability Development Team who oversees a team of officers to carry out casework management, build sector capability and provide service management oversight to: o Provide supervision and guidance to the FAs on fostering cases o Assist the FAs to build up new skills to manage foster cases, e.g. organise practice circles, develop training materials, design practice manuals o Engage the FAs closely, monitor their KPIs and conduct quarterly checks on their deliverables o Assess the FAs\' performance for reappointment o Work with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes to improve support to FPs and FCs in foster care.
