Job Description


What the role is:Conduct research and analysis of the dynamic philanthropy landscape, both locally and globally, to identify emerging trends, best practices, and strategic opportunities for growth and impactDevelop and implement innovative, data-driven strategies to position Community Chest as a leader in Singapore's evolving philanthropy ecosystem, with a focus on sustainable giving and long-term social impactDesign and execute initiatives to foster collaboration across ecosystem stakeholders, including corporate donors and individual philanthropistsSupport the team in regular reporting and update to senior leadership on key performance indicators, impact metrics, insights and recommendationsWhat you will be working on:Shape Community Chest's growth trajectory by developing multi-year strategies and goals, backed by robust performance metrics and growth projectionIdentify and evaluate high-impact philanthropic opportunities through competitive, financial, sectoral and strategic fit analyses to develop new ideas and innovative funding instruments to maximise social impact Facilitate strategic decision-making by empowering senior leadership with timely research and insightsFormulate and monitor Community Chest's balanced scorecard, ensuring alignment of key performance indicators with organisational objectives Drive any other initiatives by leading cross-functional projects and assignments that advance Community Chest's mission Support the Secretariat team to facilitate Community Chest Committee members' engagements and any other related dutiesWhat we are looking for:Personal Competencies:Strategic thinking: Ability to envision long-term goals and develop actionable plans Innovative mindset: Openness to new ideas and approaches in philanthropyAnalytical rigour: Keen attention to details and data-driven decision-making Stakeholder management: Adept in collaborating across a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, across seniority levelsCollaborative autonomy: Thrive both as an independent contributor and team player, adapting as needed to drive organisational goalsSkills & Knowledge:Proficiency in strategic planning and performance measurement methodologies Strong analytical skills, including financial modelling and data interpretation Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of social service sector, fundraising landscape and innovative funding instruments will be an added advantageWe regret that only shortlisted candidates are notified.About National Council of Social Service:NCSS is the umbrella body for over 500 member social service agencies in Singapore.
