Job Description


What the role is:The Manager/ Senior Manager (Volunteer Management) role is responsible for developing and executing organisational strategies to coordinate and optimise NParks\' volunteer resources in support of growing community stewardship for NParks\' vision to transform Singapore into a City in Nature. The role involves working closely with NParks\' volunteer programme managers and other staff members.What you will be working on:

  • Review NParks\' volunteer management functions and initiatives with a view of developing a framework and set of policies to be applied across the organisation to ensure consistency and optimisation of volunteer resources.
  • Identify volunteer management needs of the organisation and implement strategies to address any gaps
  • Develop and implement strategies to keep volunteers motivated and engaged. This could involve providing opportunities for greater exposure, skill development, and training and leading other volunteers.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of volunteer appreciation to acknowledge their contributions through various channels, including an annual volunteer appreciation event
  • Coordinate enhancements to the Volunteer Management System to support volunteer management needs
  • Develop a dashboard with a set of indicators, as well as processes, for tracking, monitoring and reporting on NParks volunteers
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Division/Branch Head
What we are looking for:
  • Experience in organisational development and/or strategic volunteer management is preferred
  • Analytical, flexible, and have the ability to see different perspectives and draw connectivity
  • Able to translate concepts into actionable goals
  • Attention to detail, organised, resourceful and able to drive initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident as an independent worker and also a good team player.
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and relationship-building skills.
  • Skills and experience in using data analytics solutions such as Qlik Sense will be an advantage
Successful candidate will be placed on an employment contract until 31 December 2025.
