You will be leading the sourcing team to create strong vendor partnerships, ensuring that Timberland Apparel products are developed in alignment with the brand\xe2\x80\x99s design and future vision. You will co-create product development and innovation strategies in collaboration with the brand product development teams in the US, Europe and APAC. Supporting the Director of Product Supply for Timberland/Napa, you will play a lead role in creating a multiyear sourcing strategy that will facilitate and power brand growth, ensuring best in class product development, fit for our consumer needs. Join the VF Family Manager, Sourcing Development, Apparel How You Will Make a Difference What you will do: \xc3\x98 Leading the sourcing team to establish and develop partnerships with vendors to support brand product development strategies and growth plans. \xc3\x98 Communicating proactively with brand stakeholders, product development and design teams to build and adhere to a product development calendar that enables best in class on time samples, execution and delivery. \xc3\x98 Enhancing and advocating for vendors\xe2\x80\x99 capabilities and use of new technologies, to drive innovation of process and product with the goal of reducing waste and increasing efficiency. \xc3\x98 Managing vendor partnerships, ensuring performance that can drive profitability for the brand and sustained shared goals. \xc3\x98 Support all associates in the team, to ensure they create and drive their individual development plans \xe2\x80\x93 and develop a regular cadence of review. How you will do it: \xc3\x98 Collaboration with all internal stakeholders across Production, Global Material Supply, Compliance, Responsible Sourcing, Product Stewardship, Finance, Logistics and Quality teams to ensure the alignment on sourcing strategy and brand direction. \xc3\x98 Fostering and role modeling a culture of inclusion, candor and trust. \xc3\x98 Challenge the status quo by adopting a creative and curious style that can drive continuous improvement \xc3\x98 Participate in company-wide initiatives to promote VF purpose activation and to improve VF Asia Product Supply systems and processes. Skills for Success Years of related professional experience: 10 years Educational position requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements. What we expect you already know: \xc3\x98 Knowledge of apparel with a key focus on the technical outdoor market \xc3\x98 Proven experience in development of knitted and woven apparel and managing a diverse product collection. \xc3\x98 You will be coaching and developing your team, providing timely constructive feedback enabling them to excel and realize their potential. \xc3\x98 Proven leadership experience in managing multi-cultural teams and ability to influence stakeholders on a global level to advance business goals. \xc3\x98 A basic understanding of paper patterns creation and an understanding of digital product creation will be an advantage.
