Our team is consistently searching for new places to fly, new ways to add value and new ideas to improve performance.We are looking for an experienced individual to perform the role of Manager, Strategic Finance in the Finance Department.Reporting to the Head of Finance & Strategy, the incumbent will Lead FP&A team to deliver timely and accurate analyses and insights on business performance and market development.The incumbent will also be a strategic partner to stakeholders (Commercial and Cost functions); take lead in equipping business with the tools for decision-making and driving business outcomes \xe2\x80\x93 E.g. (a) Commercial outcomes (b) Cost-saving initiatives (c) Business case build.Additionally, drive continuous process improvements and automation within the Finance department.Key responsibilities of this role are:

• Accurate and timely reporting of business performance

• Accountable for monthly performance and variance analysis
• Actuals vs. Forecast
• Route profitability
• Initiatives
• Business KPIs
• Accountable for monthly reforecast
• Accountable for monthly management reports and departmental review
• Accountable for the preparation and running of the review process of management decks for Board and Business Unit Review
• Business Planning

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop accurate and measurable Budget and 5-year plan, built upon sound market assumptions
• Strategic partner to business

• Monitor developments of industry / business and proactively flag out opportunities, risks, and recommended pathways
• Establish review cadence with internal departments to drive understanding of business and partnership
• Develop financial models and provide key insights to stakeholders to support business decision-making
• Proactively take lead in transformation and cost initiative projects to support business outcomes
• Support management with ad-hoc analysis, as required
• Develop and leverage on strong partnership with Group to facilitate knowledge transfer and support
• Continuous Improvements

• Drive process improvements within Finance function
• Ensure SOPs are built and developed
• Streamline and automate processes / reports

• University degree or professional accounting qualification or CPA.
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience
• Managing teams
• Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
• Software and database management skills a plus
• Strong knowledge of FRS
• Airline and/or audit experience preferred
• Strong management, financial and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Commercial and operational acumen
• Transformation and change management
• Good knowledge of Jetstar\xe2\x80\x99s products, Commercial, Operating and Finance policies
