Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee implementation of regional sustainability strategy / climate action plan, aligning with overall company\'s sustainability goals and objectives
• Establish Sustainability network in the region, and implement effective governance and tracking mechanism for sustainability initiatives, ensuring initiatives are managed cost effectively and to a high quality
• Assess and analyze company policies and processes to identify areas in which improvements can be made in accordance to company\'s commitment to sustainability
• Identify ways in which the company can balance business obligations with goal of reducing environmental impact and fulfilling other sustainability obligations
• In collaboration with divisional and functional sustainability counterparts, propose and implement strategies to address various environmental concerns including energy use, conservation, reduction of pollution, recycling, building and facility design, and general education on sustainability, integrate sustainability considerations into decision making processes and operations
• Draft and prepare relevant reports, presentations, and proposals; present proposals and recommendations to the Asia-Pacific Board and other key stakeholder
• Assist the regional CEO and AP Management team with the development of internal and external communication of company\'s sustainability performance and initiatives
• Identify and facilitate trainings as required
• Maintain current working knowledge of sustainability trends and news, as well as policymakers\' and competitors\' sustainability goals and initiatives for their strategic impact on Schaeffler

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field
• Relevant professional certification preferred
• Industry experience of 3-5 years, at least 3 of which overseeing sustainability or ESG function for a large division or multi-national company
• In depth and current knowledge of sustainability practices, applicable laws and regulations
• Ability to identify strategic needs, build mid- to long-term sustainability strategy / climate action plan with sound business recommendations, while generating alignment with key stakeholders
• Experience in project planning and project management
• Ability to analyze, comprehend research and identify relevant and valuable information
• Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in an entrepreneureal environment
• Ability to work in multi-dimensional matrix structure
• Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Good interpersonal and influencing skills
