What the role is:You will be supporting the Assistant Director in exploring new emerging technologies which will shape the future of tourism and customer experience. You will also champion innovation and technology capabilities within the tourism industry with the aim of increasing industry awareness and adoption of emerging technologies.What you will be working on:TX\'s work involves assessing and driving emerging technologies through three phases - investigate, pilot, adopt. You will work with a team of technologists and prototype developers to leverage the best that technology has to offer for tourism and STB. You will work with the team to engage in rapid prototyping, user testing, stakeholder engagements to help STB and industry leverage emerging technologies to improve visitor experience or enable productivity gains.1. Strategise STB\'s approach for emerging technologies: You will be required to explore new technologies to assess their relevance to the tourism sector. Through conducting research, prototyping and stakeholder engagement, you will formulate what should be STB\'s strategy and approach towards the new technology (e.g. monitor, trial or accelerate), and identify potential use cases for tourism companies. Emergent technologies which have presently been identified are Extended Reality (XR) and GenerativeAI (GenAI).2. Drive industry adoption of emerging technologies: For emerging technologies with more stability and established use cases for tourism, you will work closely with local tech providers, Industry Technology Transformation division and business units to engineer strong take-up of emerging technology by tourism stakeholders. For instance, Extended Reality has been identified as a technology with great potential for enriching the visitor experience. Through accelerating its adoption across the tourism industry, the vision is to provide visitors with XR experiences islandwide wherever they go, making their visit immersive and memorable.3. Future Tourism (FT) Coordinating Manager: FT is a cross functional team between Technology Transformation Group and International Group. FT\'s efforts are grounded by TX who develops the strategy, identifies the focus areas and has keen interest in pushing for implementation. You will work closely with regional offices to conduct landscape scans to identify potential partners in these emerging tech focus areas and secure partnerships. You will also work with technologists within TX to leverage IG\'s overseas footprint, in-market insights and network to secure partnerships with tech bellwethers to co-develop projects that create first-mover advantages and destination differentiation.What we are looking for:

• High personal interest in upcoming technologies (e.g. early adopter)
• Able to dissect a technology beyond its hype and ideate use cases in a tourism context
• Strategic in being able to spot opportunities for the industry and STB in the horizon, and lay out an technology adoption roadmap
• Great interpersonal and communication skills, including the abilities to present a case with confidence, communicate strategy effectively and manage stakeholders across seniority
• Willingness to think outside the box and roll up one\'s sleeves to get the job done
• Proven success in enabling technology adoption by stakeholders and/or experience in providing awareness about innovation
