Job Purpose

The Manager for Kaizen will be responsible for training, mentoring and evaluating the implementation of Kaizen concepts to both SMRT and its partners (suppliers). This role requires close collaboration as a business partner with the different business groups in shaping attitudes, behaviours, work practices and work processes.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for the Manager, Kaizen, are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

  • Development and update of 'Lean' or 'Kaizen' training material for "Queen Bee" initiative (60 credits accredited programme) in collaboration with SIT;
  • Development and update of experiential Kaizen programmes to all business groups within SMRT;
  • Train, Facilitate, Mentor and Evaluate business groups in the implementation of Kaizen concepts and principles;
  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Improvement of 'Lean' or 'Kaizen' training programmes;
  • Assessment of the SMRT's suppliers using business excellence frameworks;
  • Project Coaching, Evaluation and Reporting for projects related to Process Improvement, Safety, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG), and Service Transformation.
Qualifications & Work Experience

Qualifications and work experience include:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Psychology or HR;
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt;
  • At least 5 years of experience in L&D as a Trainer / Facilitator;
  • Experience in managing Kaizen implementation for Process Improvement & Service Transformation.
