[What the role is]

You will be part of the Visitor Management & Security branch of Singapore Botanic Gardens, which is the public fronting unit that provides a safe and pleasant experience for visitors.
The branch also works closely with various stakeholders, tenants, volunteers, contractors and security/visitor services personnel to ensure that the Gardens is carried out according to prescribed service standards.

[What you will be working on]

Job responsibilities includes:

Overseeing the day-to-day Visitor Services and Security Operations in the Gardens, including the supervision of the Security function and the contract visitor services staff.

Ensuring the procurement and maintenance of operations related equipment and contracts, such as buggy, telecommunication, CCTV systems and Pest Control etc.

Conducting event operations planning to ensure that visits/events held in the Gardens are carried out smoothly.

Attending to operational/ground issues and ensure that emergencies are attended to promptly.

[What we are looking for]

Relevant working experience in visitor services and security operations (including working on emergency response/business continuity plans, as well as purchasing and maintaining related equipment such as buggy, telecommunications and CCTVs) will be an added advantage.

Required to work staggered working hours, weekends and public holidays.

Good written & oral communication in English.

Resourceful and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Possess good interpersonal skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
