Role Summary: . The Quality Controller works with internal stakeholders to ensure the product received at the manufacturing facility meet the required specification.

• Work with quality team at originations to mitigate and eliminate any possible risk of Product Contamination or Quality Off-Specification.
• Indirectly managed a team of inspectors to act as a gate keeper on company's interest
• Manage, review, enhance and align Quality Management System, Testing procedures, and SOP according to business needs
• Oversees audits and work with local quality team to lead investigations into quality deviations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in process improvement in woodchips production to ensure quality standards and continuous improvement.
• Managed deliverables and internal stakeholder's expectation with timely update.

• Work with Commercial Manager and Suppliers to ensure that woodchips supplied is in line with the requirements of End user mill
• Visit and evaluate supplier's facilities and operating environment to access any quality or contamination risk and recommend improvement work accordingly
• Work with quality team in different countries to ensure that SOP and best production practices are being carried out
• Drive projects to improve quality management
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to drive sustainability certification projects
• Enhance current system to identify potential quality or production issues early on and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including off specification products and areas that result in flaws.
• Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce off specifications products
• Regularly review business continuity plan and ensure the integrity of the quality work are not compromise.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, science, or supply chain management.
• Familiar with good laboratory practices (GLPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
• In-depth knowledge of process and mechanical engineering principles
• Minimum 6 to 10 years related experience, with the most recent 4 years assuming Quality Management in a manufacturing environment or Supply chain management responsibilities
• Possess strong problem solving, analytical thinking skills and some business acumen.
• Team player, results-oriented and performance driven
• Experience working in Vietnam is a plus
• Fluent in English and Chinese (both spoken and written)
• 3rd language e.g. Vietnamese or Thai or Bahasa Indonesia would be added advantage
