Managing Director (Coking Coal)

We are representing a global leader in the commodities space

in their search for a seasoned professional to lead international coking coal procurement and trading initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to drive strategic sourcing, market analysis, and team leadership on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the acquisition of international coking coal resources, independently develop high-quality overseas suppliers, and establish long-term, stable procurement channels. Analyze international and domestic coking coal market dynamics--including supply, demand, pricing, and policy trends--to inform and execute effective business strategies. Collaborate closely with the risk control team to ensure compliance and mitigate trading risks. Build, manage, and inspire a high-performing international team to achieve operational and performance goals.

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of experience in international coking coal trading, with access to stable first-hand resources and the ability to handle sales across multiple countries. Proven team management experience, capable of leading teams to consistently meet and exceed performance targets. Strong business negotiation skills, internal drive, and cross-cultural communication capabilities to operate effectively in a global environment.
