Job Description

Our MNC client's food ingredients are derived from natural herbs, spices, vegetables and hops. They are translated into easy-to-use liquid extracts ideal for most formulations. Their products meet the challenges faced by food and beverage manufacturers throughout the industry and more than 70 countries worldwide.

To service the customers in Asia, our Client has decided to set up a finishing centre in Singapore.

Working closely with the Site Director here, this is a pioneering role which will be responsible for setting up and being hands on in order to meet business objectives.

This is a set-up stage and the right person will be someone who is able to work occasionally with heat, noise, odors, heights, confined spaces as a work-in-progress situation.

Candidates, with the relevant experience and at the Supervisor level will also be considered.


The Job -

• Provide vision, coaching and leadership in Manufacturing, ensuring the customer orders are fulfilled in a timely manner in compliance with EHS, Food Safety, Regulatory and Customer requirements.
• Lead and develop programs to increase efficiency in Production and reduce wastage. Initiate process changes to achieve in specification material after discussing with the supervisor and necessary departments.
• Utilize different methodologies (e.g., TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) with the team to achive success. Monitor and develop programs to maximize First Time Right (FTR), On time Delivery (OTD), and ways to reduce overall Lead time, Optimization of Batch Size and overall Batch cycle time.
• Provide Manufacturing department supervision on Personal Safety, Product Quality, GMP, GDP, Productivity and Team environment objectives.
• Lead and work with Operators and other departments to fulfill all audit requirements and company objectives.
  

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering,Food Science, Chemistry, Organizational Leadership/Supervision or Equivalent mix of Education and Experience.
• Minimum 5 year of experience in Food, Beverage, Chemical, Process or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing at a Supervisory level.
• Experience utilizing Lean manufacturing tools, TPM for manufacturing problem solving.
• Knowledgeable in MS Office, Data entry. Intepretation of Data and utilizing it for decision making.
• Demonstrated ability in leading cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and work with staff on implementation
• Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work with people of differing experience, viewpoints, cultures, beliefs, and educational levels
• Good written and verbal communication skills
  

• Knowledge of the work being performed in Production with Batch Operations.

• Ability to Operate pumps, mixers, filling machines, pipe connections, Hot water system.

• Usage of material movement devices like Stackers/Walkie, Hand Pallet trucks.

• Familiar with mixers, pumps, weiging scales, material movement devices, utilities.

• Safety devices, Fire fighting equipments like Fire hose, Extinguisher.

• Usage of Personnel Protective Equipments like Respirators, suits, etc.,
