Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Process Technician 1 is responsible for executing operational activities including the cleaning, setup, and operation of a variety of equipment in compliance with cGMP, quality & safety requirements to achieve operational objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

Complete required training (e.g. cGMP, safety and work instructions, etc.) within a stipulated time frame

Execute tasks strictly following cGMP, Quality, Safety and Work instruction requirements

Ensure employees follow safety, quality requirement, and all applicable company policies at all times

Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain cleanliness (6S) of the working area.

Timely report/ escalate any concerns (work-related or personal)

Meet daily production schedule and performance expectation

Able to take on additional tasks or responsibilities when required

Competent to complete routine tasks in assigned group with direct supervision

Able to support troubleshooting on simple issues associated to product and process

Participate in 6S activities in work area to maintain the standards & discipline as part of continuous improvement processes

Assist in incident investigation

Work in a team to meet daily production target with direct supervision

Responsible to ensure own\'s certification and developmental plan are completed

Position Requirements:

Ensure compliance with cGMP, Quality, work safety instructions & practices at all times.

Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

High level of discipline and integrity.

Able to undertake multiple tasks.

Able to undergo job rotation/cross training.

Able to work in a manufacturing production environment, including. cleanroom, with possible exposure to chemical, cold room, loud noise, etc.

Able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required.

Able to operate equipment and machinery such as forklift, scanner, power tools, etc.

Pass color blindness test without any findings. In Illumina, we handle components/chemicals with different colors, and it is necessary to be able to differentiate and identify the correct components/chemicals (using visual) during operation.

Possess a positive attitude and sense of urgency.

Meticulous, keen attention to details and organized.

The candidate must be able to work 12 hours (from 0800 to 2015 for the day shift and from 2000 to 0815 for the night shift) rotating shifts (4 monthly rotations from day to night and vice versa) with staggered break times in accordance with the roster.

Able to work standing for a prolonged periods of time without sitting.

Able to lift 15kg or less of heavy weight safely.

Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:

Secondary School / \xe2\x80\x98O\xe2\x80\x99 Level or equivalent

1-2 years of working experience

Experience in GMP controlled manufacturing/production environment

For Formulation team only

Education major in Science stream

Experience in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Chemical manufacturing production environment

Experience in handling enzymes, proteins and antibodies

Experience in using basic laboratory instruments (e.g. pH meter, conductivity meter, digital refractometer, osmometer, density meter, UV/Vis spectrophotometer, NanoDrop\xe2\x84\xa2 spectrophotometer, micropipettes, weighing balance)

Experience in using analytical instruments (e.g. Ultra/High performance liquid chromatography, ion chromatography, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry)
