[What the role is]
Reporting to the Operations & Marine Services Division, you will be part of the Operations Planning & Pilotage department.

[What you will be working on]

This role is to safeguard strategic port needs through effective management of port infrastructure and other marine-related projects in the Port of Singapore. You will also ensure that Singapore obligations as a Maritime Search and Rescue Centre and ReCAAP Focal Point are carried out effectively and efficiently.

The key duties include:

• To safeguard strategic port needs through effective management of port infrastructure and other marine-related projects in the Port of Singapore;

• To ensure the marine projects are planned efficiently and conducted safely without any disruption to port operations and marine traffic movements;

• To carry out the Terms of Reference for the function of Committee for Marine Project Projects (COMET);

• To manage and co-ordinate Marine Projects, approved by COMET,

• To provide coordinated, expeditious maritime SAR response and assistance within the Singapore Maritime Search and Rescue Region;

• To provide coordinated, expeditious maritime Medical evacuation within the Singapore Maritime Search and Rescue Region; and

• To carry out Focal Point function for Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ReCAAP)

[What we are looking for]

As part of career development, candidates may be rotated across different departments under the Operations & Marine Services Division for exposure to a spectrum of work. This includes possible rotation to the Vessel Traffic Management Department which oversees navigational safety and security matters and the Marine Environment & Safety Department which oversees compliance of MPA\xe2\x80\x99s regulations in the port. Depending on candidate\xe2\x80\x99s deployment, he or she may be required to perform shift work to support the Division\xe2\x80\x99s operations as well as marine incidents.

• Experienced current/ former seafarers who possess a Certificate of Competency (Deck) Class 1

• Meticulous, organised and is committed to delivering high quality work

• Able to prioritise tasks well and work around tight timelines in a fast-paced environment

• Good interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work well with stakeholders across all levels

• Appointment level will commensurate with candidates\xe2\x80\x99 work experiences.
