Marine Service Technician
Job Description
:
Responsibilities
\xc2\xb7 Cleaning, repairing, and maintaining all parts of the ship.
\xc2\xb7 Reading through repair and installation orders to determine the material, time, and equipment required.
\xc2\xb7 Work closely with the Technical Manager and Service Coordinator to help efficiently schedule your visits
\xc2\xb7 Develop operating and maintenance procedures for equipment, machinery, or mechanical devices
\xc2\xb7 Fill out accurate service records and repair documents
\xc2\xb7 Liaising with customers, captains and port agents
\xc2\xb7 Provide customer distance support - Contact with customers to provide work instructions etc. to allow trouble shooting and self-repair of simple problems.
\xc2\xb7 Preparing Method of Works and Plans of Action as required
Requirements
\xc2\xb7 Diploma in Maritime Studies/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
\xc2\xb7 Proven work experience as a Marine Mechanic or similar position in the Engineering department
\xc2\xb7 Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
\xc2\xb7 Understanding of safety protocols and procedures of the company
\xc2\xb7 Able to travel overseas
