Purpose of the role

The purpose of the role is to implement, monitor and perform the sales audit (BSC) function across all groups and ensure Financial Adviser Representatives of each core and subsidiary business entities are in compliance with the group compliance BSC framework and minimum control standards, regulatory requirements.

Role Attributes

Participate in the implementation, monitoring and performance of the Sales Audit (BSC) Function for the entire group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Post Transaction BSC Review for each BSC measurement quarter in alignment with the BSC standards and processes across entities.
  • Performs Client call backs, trigger/send/review of BSC Client Survey forms.
  • Follow up on CSRs and ensure all CSRs rectifications are duly completed.
  • Liaison with Commissions/Finance on the claw back of commission for Financial Adviser Representatives / Supervisors with adverse BSC Gradings.
  • Prepare and disseminate BSC Grading and Audit Findings to Financial Adviser Representatives / Supervisors.
  • Provide secretarial support for BSC Appeals via BSC Appeals Committee.
  • Prepare Post Transaction BSC Trend Analysis Report and other relevant management reports for review and approval by Group Lead.
  • Perform regular/thematic/ad-hoc audit to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies and procedures e.g. review of switching/replacement of policies, thematic switching, Quantum etc.
  • Review of Mystery Shopping Results by external party e.g. LIA etc
  • Review of BSC training materials of other departments e.g. T&C department etc
  • Handle Reps\' queries on BSC related matters.
  • Participate in the enhancement and UAT testing of new/enhanced BSC system.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as advised by Manager/Head such as the collation, scrubbing of BSC data and allocation of BSC transactions; Conduct training / provide guidance to Financial Adviser Representatives / Supervisors on common infractions
Key Decision within the Role
  • Promote good conduct and compliance culture, practices, and training.
  • Have a deep understanding of the regulatory and compliance requirements pertaining to BSC Framework.
  • No material compliance breaches relating to operations within Sales Audit team.
  • Quality delivery of the objectives set in the annual compliance plan:
  • Balanced Scorecard (BSC) Framework.
  • Ensure core entity and subsidiaries are in compliance with all regulatory requirements under Financial Advisory Industry Review (FAIR)
  • Timely completion of all reviews.
Requirements

Experience
  • A seasoned, experienced executive with relevant experience typically gained within financial institutions
  • Coverage of job experience should include BSC framework, disciplinary and conduct framework.
  • Strong knowledge of Insurance, Financial Adviser and Capital Market regulations in Singapore.
  • Satisfy Fit & Proper assessments on an annual basis at minimum, or when other adjunct appointments are made.
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree or professional qualifications.
  • At least 2 years\' experience in the financial industry covering related areas such as market conduct, compliance, internal controls or audit.
  • Familiar with sales advisory process e.g. Balanced Scorecard.
  • Knowledge of MAS regulations & FAA will be an added advantage.
