Summary of Job:

This is a very exciting career opportunity for an individual who is passionate about chromatography and mass spectrometry! We are looking for regional Market Development Scientist to be based in Singapore. The focus of this role is to develop strategic market/product/application plans and programs to support commercial teams in the designated market verticals. This role will be required to support seminars, webinars and workshops, development of new applications including contributing to peer-reviewed publications and/or presentations at the appropriate scientific events.

Responsibilities:

• Identify strategic product/application opportunities in the selected market verticals. Build partnerships with customers to advance the new application/idea to potential business opportunities.
• Analyse market data to identify trends/opportunities, develop strategic direction from market information, and build compelling market analysis presentations.
• Responsible in promoting new applications/ideas to internal partner as well as external market.
• Use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to commercial team and customer. Participate in presentations and demonstrations in various customer engagement activities (seminars, conference etc).
• Assist the commercial team in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions.
• Provide hands-on application and solution development based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemistry or equivalent
• Technical knowledge and hands-on expertise in chromatography and/or mass spectrometer techniques such as LC/MS, GC/MS, ICP/MS or IOMS, including sample preparations and workflows. Minimum 5 years or more work experience.
• Demonstrates good oral & written communication skills
• Phenomenal teammate with positive demeanour, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment to demonstrate the benefits of our products/solutions to customers
• Prior experience working in a matrix organization working with distributors and other internal partners will be useful.
• Ability to travel within the region (~25%) as and when travel restrictions are lifted
