An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic Market Risk Manager to join the growing team at Optiver Singapore. To keep us at the forefront of an ever-changing trading environment, you'll create and improve our current risk framework and monitoring tools. You'll analyse risk and market data to solve practical problems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Market Risk Manager, you will:


Monitor and analyse market risks of our trading positions in all relevant markets & asset classes Develop and enhance risk models to assess exposures, stress scenarios, and tail risks Partner with traders to understand trading strategies, identify potential risk factors, and provide real-time risk insights Collaborate with quantitative researchers and developers to improve risk analytics and automation Evaluate and refine risk limits, ensuring they are aligned with market conditions and trading objectives Stay informed on macroeconomic trends, regulatory changes, and market developments

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Strong experience in market risk, trading risk, or a related role, ideally within a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or financial institution Proficiency in risk and data analytics, and visualization tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau) Strong problem-solving skills with a quantitative and analytical mindset Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with traders, quants, and risk teams Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where adaptability is key
