If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level. : The Digital Graphic Designer develops creative assets to drive effective marketing and CRM campaigns across a mix of print and digital channels for UPS Asia Pacific Region. The incumbent is a subject matter expert in all key aspects of graphic design. He/she is well-versed in developing creative assets across multiple media types, including, but not limited to, corporate marketing materials, brochures, direct mailers, infographics, leaflets, newsletters, email templates, online display advertisements, social media channels, videos, and websites. He/she must also be comfortable designing for a variety of devices, including desktops/laptops, mobile, and tablets. Working closely with Channel Leads, he/she is able to transform raw written or spoken briefs into visually compelling and easy-to-understand creative assets that align with business needs, with minimal supervision. He/she must demonstrate end-to-end project management capabilities from conceptualisation to final artwork delivery, including print production where applicable. As a brand custodian, the incumbent provides sound counsel to both internal and external stakeholders on the appropriate usage of creative elements in line with UPS\xe2\x80\x99s global branding guidelines and trademark requirements, safeguarding the UPS brand and ensuring it is applied consistently across the Region.

Job Responsibilities

Print collateral design and production
  • Work with Channel Leads to transform raw written or spoken briefs into creative concepts and final artwork that is aligned with business needs.
  • Using content provided, design marketing and customer communications materials, including, but not limited to, corporate marketing materials, brochures, direct mailers, infographics, leaflets, newsletters, and print advertisements.
  • Ad hoc production of creative assets as required to support other areas of the business, such as large format artwork for tradeshow booths, pull-up banners, etc.
  • Exercise independent creative judgment, and proactively provide recommendations on design ideas and layout improvements where possible.
  • Showcase design concepts and rationale to senior leadership where necessary.
Digital marketing design and production
  • Work with Channel Lead to create visually compelling email templates to support various CRM campaigns on Marketo.
  • Ensure the design serves to enhance written content, and ultimately directs readers to take desired actions, e.g. Create an account with UPS.
  • Ensure overall seamlessness of creative assets developed across channels and devices, e.g. Call-to-action in an email template leads to a landing page with similar design and branding.
  • Support with development of additional campaign assets where necessary, ensuring overall consistency with project theme.
  • Exercise independent creative judgment, and proactively provide recommendations on design ideas and layout improvements where possible.
  • Showcase design concepts and rationale to senior leadership where necessary.
Social media and website support
  • Create graphics and required assets (e.g. high-res GIFs, HTML5 web banners, display advertisements, etc.) for social media channels, including, but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, WeChat, and Weibo.
Photography and imagery support
  • Monitor competitor\xe2\x80\x99s marketing and customer communications materials, including digital and print assets, and present findings in a quarterly reporting session.
  • Keep updated on industry trends and latest tools and software, applying best practices to daily work.
  • Video production and editing (ad hoc)
Work with Channel Lead to create storyboards
  • Create and edit simple videos using software and tools available
Other ad hoc assignments
  • As assigned

Job requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in Graphic Design or related field
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite \xe2\x80\x93 Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Experience with After Effects and Premiere Pro is a plus. Candidates are invited to submit their portfolios together with their job applications
  • Experience and extensive understanding of digital campaign requirements
  • Technicality to prepare the right artwork format for production
  • Experience liaising with printers and external agencies is a plus
  • Experience in print advertising, familiarity with print process, colour proofing is a plus
  • Familiar with typo and graphic rules for print or web environments
  • Good sense of aesthetics and detail-oriented
  • Passionate and aware of the latest trends in branding and graphic design
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • A self-starter and motivated individual
