As a Product Marketing Consultant, you will join a dynamic team and be exposed to all parts serve as an expert for the Excavator Product Line for Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Asia and Indonesia. In this role you will demonstrate your consultative skills along with your Sales & Marketing expertise to influence decisions and make recommendations that will support our strategic goals and contribute to GCI\'s (Global Construction Infrastructure Division) long-term market leadership.
Job Duties:
Engage with the Excavator Product Groups (PG), GCI industry field teams and other internal partners to drive collaboration to grow our sales in each region.
Support the GCI industry field teams in their day-to-day business, Sales & Operations Planning process (S&OP) and develop medium term strategies through projects, presentations and product training.
Partner with the Product Application Specialists (PAS) to create holistic product positioning proposals to be delivered to dealers.
Create commercial programs that support our field teams with execution of their sales goals, while balancing market leadership objectives and Sales Variance budget.
Take a lead role in enabling the Cat/SEM collaboration internally as well as in each region to deliver on collective market leadership sales growth.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and driving the Go-to-Market activities to ensure a successful product launch in region.
Lead the product offering discussions with the sales team to ensure correct product and pricing positioning against key competitors.
Generally, the role requires about 15% travel within assigned territories to drive collaboration with the sales teams and understand regional business conditions.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering and/or Sales & Marketing
8-10 years in relevant industry experience (engineering, sales & marketing)
Strong communication skills to develop collaborative/cooperative work relationships
Strong knowledge of the Sales & Operations Planning process (internally and for dealers)
Fluent in English and other languages a plus (written and spoken)
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of Construction Equipment product families, machine applications and the various industries we serve
Knowledge of Caterpillar dealer network in Asia Pacific
