Founded in 1987, SGIFF is the largest and longest-running film event in Singapore. It has become an iconic event in the local arts calendar that is widely attended by international film critics, and known for its dynamic programming and focus on groundbreaking Asian cinema for Singapore and the region. Committed to nurturing and championing local and regional talent, its competition component, the Silver Screen Awards, brings together emerging filmmakers from Asia and Southeast Asia while paying tribute to acclaimed cinema legends. With its mentorship programmes, masterclasses and dialogues with attending filmmakers, the Festival also serves as a catalyst for igniting public interest, artistic dialogue, and cultural exchanges in the art of filmmaking. The SGIFF is organised by the Singapore International Film Festival Ltd, a non-profit organisation with Institution of Public Character (IPC) status.

MARKETING INTERN

Job Scope:

Assist the Marketing team in marketing, publicity, communication and marketing partner matters for the Festival and company.

Assist with development of Social Media Content (i.e Foster new ideas for festival coverage at key events) and ensure accurate content on posts with Social Agency.

Assist to prepare, coordinate, and set up marketing communications for campaigns which may include copywriting for all marketing communications

Design collaterals or video edits & copy for Festival Newsletters

Manage timelines and deliverables effectively on assigned projects

Handle festival merchandise from production to stock inventory + fulfillment (if needed)

Assist in general administration & coordination for the Festival

Requirements:

Minimum qualifications \xe2\x80\x93 Diploma/ A Levels. Currently enrolled students are welcome to apply.

Able to commit for 6 months, full-time (preferred)

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Proficiency in graphic design (Photoshop/Illustrator) and basic video editing is an advantage.

Hardworking, dedicated fast-learner, and able to work independently and yet a team player

Responsible, calm, meticulous, organised and able to meet timelines.

Experience with project and event management - the ability to multitask and manage several jobs at once, will be an advantage.

Interest in film and/or the arts would be preferred

Period of Engagement: April to 5 January 2024. There will be a two week unpaid break from 15 December to 31 December 2023.

Ideally, currently enrolled students must be able to commit at least 20 hours weekly from April to September and full-time from October onwards till the end of the Festival.

Currently enrolled students should be prepared to work full time during their school breaks.

SGIFF currently has a hybrid working policy in place with time split between the office and working from home. Closer to the festival dates and various events, more time will be required at the SGIFF office or at various venues.
