Own and manage the marketing communications strategy across a broad range of marketing channels (owned, earned, paid)
Position Validus as the leading SME financing platform of choice in our targeted customer segments, and partner business stakeholders to drive business outcomes through effective brand and marketing communications
Identify and pitch for opportunities to build corporate and brand reputation: Drive earned media coverage, and secure event speaking opportunities and awards to raise Validus' profile
Plan, own and manage content and social media editorial calendars
Develop compelling content to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention goals: Write concise, creative and effective copy that converts. This may include but is not limited to ad creatives, website, campaign landing pages, social media, emails, newsletters, videos, blog content, customer stories, and marketing collaterals.
Manage creative and content production of all brand and marketing assets: Conceptualise, copy write and create communications design for digital and print mediums (e.g. ad creatives, social media graphics, sales enablement materials, etc.), in accordance with brand guidelines and standards
Manage external resources whenever required, such as agencies and freelance designers to develop creative assets
Partner with HR on employer brand marketing initiatives to build our employer brand and deepen our culture
Monitor competitive landscape, macroeconomic and customer trends in order to inform strategy
Stay updated on industry trends in visual design, motion graphics and photography, generative AI for design, and proactively explore ways to elevate the Validus brand
Manage proper housekeeping of all design files, media and brand assets
Digital Marketing
Plan, own and drive (hands-on) end-to-end omni-channel digital campaigns: paid channels, email marketing, website landing pages and lead nurturing campaigns
Agency management: Paid media planning, campaign objectives and targets, leverage audience segments, optimise cost per lead, conversions, ROAS and other key performance metrics, SEO, and campaign performance reporting
Corporate website management: Build and optimise engaging digital experiences leveraging the latest martech solutions, manage website updates and the development of new landing pages
End-to-end martech automation and campaign operations: Set up, list import, data formatting, A/B testing, launch, continuous optimisation, management, and campaign performance reporting
Evaluate new vendors and martech solutions to drive growth and efficiency. Manage marketing automation project planning and implementation.
Monitor and track campaign performance and results to aid effective decision-making for future campaigns
Monitor, track and optimise allocated marketing budgets to achieve business targets
Monitor competitive environment and customer trends to derive effective digital marketing strategies
Requirements
Minimum 5-8 years of integrated marketing and communications experience, with Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience in running successful paid and organic digital marketing campaigns, with hands-on experience across key ad platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn), and Google Analytics (GA4)
Experience with strategic communications and PR
Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator, and strong Microsoft PowerPoint presentation skills are mandatory. Good to have: Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro.
A strong sense of design aesthetics, coupled with strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Hands-on experience with digital tools such as Wordpress, Elementor, website landing page design, email marketing platforms, and Zapier
* Experience in B2B, FinTech, financial services, tech start-ups and/or fast-growth organisations is preferred
