Responsible for OTC derivatives documentation including facility linked ISDA, CSA and GMRA and other ad hoc markets related documentation as well as legal advisory support.

Being part of a specialised team that supports OTC derivatives documentation globally for ANZ, the successful candidate will be providing legal advisory and documentation support including drafting, negotiating, and finalising OTC derivatives documentation with various counterparties including funds, FIs and corporates in accordance with credit approvals and relevant bank policies.

  • Responsible for entire negotiation process for OTC derivatives documentation including facility-linked ISDA, CSA (both regulatory and non-regulatory CSAs), GMRA, GMSLA, clearing agreements and other related markets documentation. This includes assisting in liaising and obtaining approval from relevant stakeholders including Credit, Central CSA, Markets Operations, collateral management, Tax and Group Treasury;
  • Conduct close-out netting reviews and provide ad hoc advice on close-out netting;
  • Comply with relevant ANZ policies, processes and internal standards.
  • Work closely with the Head of Markets Documentation and Head of Legal, Markets Asia on any internal projects;
  • Adhere to internal initiatives and processes including proper maintenance of matters in the legal agreement repository and reporting system (\xe2\x80\x9cLARRS\xe2\x80\x9d) and imanage;
  • Review and maintain relevant master agreement templates and assist in keeping the Markets Legal documentation library up to date;
  • Advise on legal issues such as legal capacity and authority and enforceability of collateral;
  • Strategic objectives - participate in internal projects and assist the Markets business to achieve its strategic objectives; and
  • Team focus - provide support to other team members of the Markets Legal team.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Relevant experience in OTC derivatives documentation, including facility-linked documentation knowledge and experience;
  • Confident in providing accurate and effective legal documentation advice to all relevant internal stakeholders;
  • Strong understanding of the financial markets environment, including relevant markets products, documentation, risk and compliance issues;
  • General understanding of a bank\'s credit process and familiarity with credit approvals; and
  • Understanding of corporate authority documentation requirements and onboarding processes.
