Lead, coach and manage a small team of production planners to meet delivery, inventory and cost targets.
Drive regular cross-functional order fulfilment meetings within plant to mitigate supply gaps to meet customer request dates.
Create master schedules that analyzes material and capacity requirements / constraints and can be used for detailed capacity planning as well as financial planning.
Review weekly master schedules for released and firm planned orders and compare those to the production plan to ensure adherence of master schedule.
Monitor and adjust MPS planning loads within the planning time fence where any changes made have the potential to disrupt actual work being conducted. Ensure upstream & downstream activities are not disrupted due to changes made to the production schedule that would otherwise interrupt scheduled execution activities.
Maintain line capacity planning model to efficiently utilize manufacturing resources and identify excess or capacity gaps in the current plan for resolution as constraint input to S&OP process to develop consensus forecast.
Develops and implements production build and material forecasting strategies to support Manufacturing Operations and meet customer demand while optimizing inventories.
Perform 80/20 analysis using ABCXYZ and other Collins methods. Perform PFEP and determine safety stock levels along with economical build quantities (Make).
Maintain planned scheduling parameters and data integrity such as lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and material master and reference data for all master scheduled items, includes creation and maintenance of Bills of Material.
Support NPI and Engineering Change Order from master data facilitation and planning.
Identify and lead continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes and procedures to remove non-value added effort in the master scheduling process.
Qualification & Education Requirements:
At least a Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering
At least 5 years related experience in materials management, production planning, or material scheduling in a manufacturing company is required.
Good appreciation of planning concepts. Able to remain customer focus while balancing inventory goals.
Knowledge of Bills of Materials and Materials Master.
Familiar with SAP, PP/MM modules. APO preferred.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel experience
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Comfortable with data and able to handle large amount of data.
Able to demonstrate high levels of collaboration and effectively work cross functionally to achieve team targets.
APICS CPIM certification preferred, willingness to pursue
