Material Management Manager

Salary Package : Basic RM 7,000 - 9,000

Working Time: 8am - 5pm, 5 days work, need to go office as and when.
Working Location: Kulim

  • Lead & manage the purchasing, planning, warehouse & logistic team.
  • Purchase for materials from both overseas and local suppliers.
  • Coordinate with QA and Engineering Department to approve parts and qualify vendors.
  • Review supplier\'s performance and drive performance improvement.
  • To support with new projects by ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and achieving expected lead time. In charge of specified commodity acquisitions, BTP fabrication/sheet metal/machining/plastic parts/die casting/extrusion/cable/standard OEM parts/Electrical and electronic components.
  • Analyses supplier quotes and selects suppliers in order to provide a properly costed BOM\'.
  • Participates in all quote kick-off meetings.
  • Engage suppliers in Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) discussions about quality, technical difficulties, cost, and lead time.
  • Perform cost down activities through the development of alternative suppliers and alternative materials.
  • Develop and execute strategic plan and process to support logistics service of our products.
  • Collaborate with logistics department to get better service and competitive price.
  • Set up and improve the logistics channel and logistics mode and ensure perfect logistic flow while maintaining highly customer satisfaction and cost reduction.
  • Focus on the KPI & Key Tasks management to make sure we can reach the target in every quarter.
  • Establish and implement the process to set up an effective logistics platform.
  • Implementing logistics business in Malaysia, which covers international transportation, local distribution, warehouse management, reverse logistics, 3rd party logistics Service Provider Management, Payment Control and logistics team management etc.
  • Plan and execute all phase-out activities such as stock count, information to supplier, monitoring of parts consumption & change over date and parts scrapping control.
  • Lead and collaborate closely with suppliers, customers, and internal departments on future projections, inventory strategies, and planning for optimum inventory management within the system.
Job Requirement
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English & Mandarin
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) & SAP ERP System
  • Min 5 years & above for Material Management in Electronnics/Manufacturing background.
