Job Summary:
Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
- Basic up to $4,500 (depends on experience)
- AWS + VB
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 6pm
- Location: Ang Mo Kio
- To apply proper feasibility studies, drive design specifications, and provide support for the design proposal.
- Responsible for conceptual and detailed design for standard and customized build automation/equipment.
- Generation of detailed CAD design and drawing using Autodesk Inventor or equivalent.
- Perform tolerance stack-up and various analyses on critical design parameters.
- Working closely with the manufacturing team.
- Hands-on prototype assembly, testing, and qualification inclusive of troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the project timeline and budget adheres to and all design requirements are specified and delivered.
- Familiar with components sizing of pneumatics and motion components such as servo motors and mechanical drive components.
- Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Must be proficient in 3D cad preferably Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience in several of these areas is added advantages such as motion systems, Opto-mechanical systems, thermal and vibration control, and design of laser structures.
