Job Description

Mechanical Design / Project Engineer Scope of work:

Manage, execute and bring to satisfactory completion new-built and service projects. Monitor project schedule and ensure timely completion and delivery. Ensure high working morale in the production team (Leader, Motivator, Problem Solver) Liaise with customers on project matters such as technical clarification, FAT, witness inspections etc. Liaise with vendors regarding scope of work, technical specification, pricing and delivery date. Ensure a high level of workmanship in project deliverables. Ensure project is carried out according to engineering designs and schematics. Monitor project costs, ensure project records are complete and updated. Prepare project documentation. Apply and maintain 5S in office and workplace (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) Support site teams when working at customer premises. Ensure safe working practices in all work areas including in customer premises. Perform assigned work duties with drive, diligence and honesty. Perform mechanical / hydraulic design work using Autocad and/or Solidworks. Perform design calculations where required (including but not restricted to structural strength calculations, hydraulic pump/actuator sizing, pump driver sizing)

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or equivalent. 4 - 5 year(s) of working experience in mechanical design, hydraulics or project management will be an advantage. Willing and able to learn. Good team player. Analytical and problem-solving skills Resilience and tenacity. Independent and able to work without supervision. Good command of English, both written and spoken. Ability to converse in major languages (other than English) an advantage. Class 3 driving licence an advantage. * Knowledge of Autocad, Solidworks will be an advantage.
