You will be responsible for conceptual / detailed design and will have the opportunity to participate in prototyping, installation, and testing of their design. This role requires good technical writing skills to produce documentation for submission. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team and be exposed to interactions with customers, partners, vendors, and sub-contractors. Experience in structural calculations, product centric thinking, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is preferred.Be Part of Our Success

• Conduct thorough analysis of unmanned system requirements and specifications to identify mechanical engineering needs and constraints and translate high-level system requirements into mechanical design requirements.
• Conceptualize and design mechanical subsystems and components that meet the system requirements. Utilize CAD software and other tools to create detailed designs, conduct relevant simulations, and analyse performance. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the development process.
• Adopt a product-centric systems approach to design and engineering of unmanned systems
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and systems engineers, to integrate mechanical systems effectively within the overall system, considering factors such as compatibility, functionality, maintainability, and performance.
• Develop test plans and procedures and perform comprehensive testing of mechanical subsystems and their integration within the larger system. Analyse test results, identify potential issues or areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures. Collaborate with testing teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation throughout the design, development, and integration process. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings to effectively communicate design details and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Perform mechanical hands-on fitting, assembly and installation of mechanical components on site, including repair and maintenance.

Qualities We Value

• Knowledge in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Good technical, creativity in problem-solving skills and strong reasoning ability.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Proficient in 3D engineering design and simulation software such as SolidWorks, SolidEdge, ProE, and Catia.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to mechanical engineering is an advantage
• Prior design experience related to unmanned systems is an advantage
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to travel as required
