Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities: Handle operating issues, repairing, and / or modifying of dredgers and barges Liaise and coordinate with various stakeholders, Master(s) of Vessel and OEM Vendor(s) on the repair and maintenance schedule to meet the demands of the operations Prepare docking requirements and specifications proposal Plan the maintenance schedule based on Vessel Class and statutory requirements Check and ensure the level and condition of the spare parts inventory are adequate to support the repair and maintenance schedule Ensure quality, environment, health & safety requirements are metRequirements: Recognized Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University Minimum 3 years' similar background in a marine/ offshore environment Well-versed in dredgers operation and maintenance requirements Must have proven track record or experience handling work vessels (TSHD, CSD, or any other work vessels) Good written and interpersonal skills Familiar in AutoCAD, MS Excel and Word Able to travel to overseas for a perio d of 1-2 months at a go Work location is at Tuas. Transportation is provided at Joo Koon MRT.
