We work on a large variety of Sleep Care device offerings in our product portfolio. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for open-minded enablers to join us and change lives through solving challenging problems \xe2\x80\x93 whilst having fun doing it

You will join a multi-disciplinary team with engineering expertise in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing and Validation Engineering

Your role as a Mechanical Engineer within Product Development team, is to perform the mechanical engineering activities necessary to develop products, from concept to production within ResMed Quality Standards. You will operate within a project team and be tasked with the responsibility to design, develop, and verify products that can be manufactured in high volume, in a cost and time effective manner, while achieving exceptional reliably to meet, or exceed customer needs.

• Mechanical engineers operate within a project team and are tasked with the responsibility to design, develop and verify products that can be manufactured in high volume, in a cost and time effective manner, while achieving exceptional reliably in order to meet, or exceed customer needs.
• Performs work in a specialized area of expertise that requires knowledge of fundamental themes, principles and concepts. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience.
• Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
• Occasionally leads the work of project teams and might formally train junior staff.

Responsibilities might also include:

(1) Performing routine professional-based activities (early in career)
(2) Contributing to and managing projects (mid-career)
(3) Providing advice/direction in primary areas of expertise (specialist and expert)
(4) Leveraging professional expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results

Let\xe2\x80\x99s talk about Qualifications and Experience

Required:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Mechanical Design and Product Development.
• Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
• Knowledge and experience of medical device or similar regulated industry product development process is preferred
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (mainly Injection Moulding) and materials (mainly polymers).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
• 3D CAD, Moderate to high proficiency in Pro Engineer.
