Our Client:
Our client is one of the leading International Logistics companies in Japan. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Singapore office.The Responsibilities:

• Generating mechanical designs in accordance with specification (including fabrication drawings) for assigned projects
• Performing accurate design calculations
• Generating system layout drawings and installation drawings
• Applying \xe2\x80\x9cDesign for Manufacture\xe2\x80\x9d principles to minimize risk of quality issue during manufacturing
• Using principles of sustainability and energy conservation when designing products and systems to minimize negative impacts on the environment
• Generating works orders
• Managing drawing revision control, register and transmittals for projects
• Generating specifications for purchase items/services
• Developing inspection and test plans and conducting validation tests
• Preparing project technical documentation
• Identifying and proposing improvements to engineering processes, tools and products
• Assisting with system commissioning and testing on-site
• Carrying out design modifications in accordance with corrective action process (ie Improvements Register)
• Ensuring project timelines are met and projects stay within budget

RequirementsThe Requirements:

• Recognized Mechanical Engineering degree from a reputable university
• Strong mechanical design capability within a project environment
• 10 years of mechanical design experience within the logistics/industrial automation space is preferred
• Good understanding of warehouse control software and operational considerations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD designs and drawings
• Experienced Autodesk Inventor user will be highly preferred
• Familiarity with Syteline project and product management modules will be highly advantageous
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and a great team player
