The Mechanical Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting the project by migrating legacy 2D and 3D CAD files from IDEAS to CREO within Windchill Product Lifecycle Management systems. This includes validating data integrity, ensuring compatibility, and re-creating 3D models where necessary to maintain design accuracy. The role requires attention to detail, familiarity with CAD tools, and willingness to learn product lifecycle management processes.
This position reports to the Senior Development Engineer and is part of the Research & Development Applied team located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Migrate legacy CAD files (2D and 3D) from IDEAS to CREO within Windchill.
• Validate migrated files for accuracy and compatibility with current design standards.
• Re-create 3D models where required to ensure design integrity.
• Document migration progress and report issues promptly.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to resolve discrepancies during migration.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Basic knowledge of CAD software (CREO preferred; IDEAS experience is a plus, and Solidworks is also acceptable).
• Familiarity with 3D modeling principles and file management.
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical dwg.
• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
