I am seeking a strategic and technically astute Mechanical Manager to lead the mechanical systems lifecycle across our mission-critical data center portfolio. This role demands deep expertise in HVAC, chilled water systems, and energy optimization--paired with operational foresight to ensure 24/7 uptime, compliance, and scalability. You'll serve as the mechanical authority across design, commissioning, and live operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to future-proof our infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical systems strategy across multi-site data centers, aligned with Green Mark and SS 564 standards.
Oversee HVAC, chilled water, and airflow systems to ensure uptime, energy efficiency, and compliance.
Validate mechanical design, commissioning, and lifecycle planning with cross-functional teams.
Ensure adherence to ASHRAE guidelines and local building codes; manage RCA and audit readiness.
Drive vendor performance, SOP/MOP execution, and service-level accountability.
Mentor engineering teams and embed a culture of safety, resilience, and continuous improvement.
Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
8+ years of experience in mechanical systems management within mission-critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, etc.)
Proven track record in HVAC design, chilled water systems, and BMS integration
Familiarity with Tier III/IV data center standards and Uptime Institute protocols
Strong command of CMMS platforms, energy modeling tools, and CFD analysis
