Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Report to Mechanical Department Head and Assistant Department Head in all matters
• Support Assistant Engineers, Engineers and Senior Engineers in performing maintenance and overhauling of mechanical and diesel components
• Carry out removal and installation works onboard vessels and general servicing and repair in the workshop
• Hands on work in rectification of defects and maintenance of mechanical or diesel components
• Ensure quality of work performed by ownself
• Assist in logistical support, lifting of equipment and maintenance of workshop equipments etc

• NITEC or Higer NITEC in Mechanical, Marine or Engineering related field.
• Possess basic understanding of basic components and functions of mechanical components or diesel engines
• Able to use IMTE such as Micrometer, Bore gauge, vernier caliper and Torque Wrench
• Willing and able to work under pressure and overtime works if require
• Must be able to work in a team and in the department
• Must be able to perform hands on work
• Physically fit and able to work in shipyard environment - heat, grease and dust
• Training will be provided
• Strictly Open to Singapore Citizens Only

• Location: Changi
• Transport provided at or nearby: Jalan Bahar, Pioneer MRT, Boon Lay MRT, Lakeside MRT, Jurong West & East, Jalan Bukit Merah, Choa Chu Kang MRT, Bukit Panjang Plaza, Woodlands, Sembawang MRT, Yishun MRT, Bishan MRT, Ang Mo Kio MRT, Hougang Ave 8, Sengkang Square, Punggol Central, Pasir Ris MRT, Tampines MRT, Tanah Merah MRT
• 5 days work week
• Working Hours: 7.45am-5pm
