About the Department: Delivery Services Meltwater\'s Delivery Services team is responsible for curating bespoke reports and managing key projects of our biggest clients. We deliver business-essential intelligence reports based on our keen analyses of various media outlets across traditional and social media channels. Our core competency of high adaptability to client\'s requirements comes from the unique team of individuals composed of diverse insights & analytical skillsets. We always strive to break new grounds, constantly focusing on solution-oriented approaches and at the same time developing every individual to his or her full capacity.
Role: Media Analyst (Chinese Proficiency) What You\'ll Do:

• Monitor and identify media coverage and conversations on key topics of interest across all mainstream and social media platforms for our client on a 24/7 cycle
• Translate and summarise media content to deliver regular media reports as well as alerts to inform the client of any impending developments or crises arising in media coverage
• Conduct both quantitative and qualitative media data analysis, with the intention of understanding the extent of media volume during significant developments and providing sentiment analysis of said reports and mentions
• Ensure the accuracy, comprehensive coverage, and timely delivery of daily reports on the client\'s media footprint
• Execute projects to create value and efficiencies for the client and the project/operations team
• Work cohesively with your team to ensure all deliverables and tasks are completed accurately and to tight deadlines.
• Utilise our Meltwater proprietary software and Google Workspace to cover end-to-end process of extracting raw data, uncovering insights, and delivering factual, digestible reports to clients

Who You Are:

• Professional proficiency in English and Chinese language with a strong proficiency in Chinese language (for translations into English)
• Able to work flexible hours / rotational shifts, & must be currently residing in Singapore
• Entry level / have up to 1 - 2 years of work experience
• Ability to work in high pressure situations with tight deadlines
• Keen interest in current affairs, mainstream media, and social media
• Derive great enjoyment being in a client servicing role with a naturally strong customer focus
• Able to think critically - look at numbers, trends, and data and search for explanations for outcomes
• Meticulous - have an eye for detail and ability to exercise vigilance in analysis

Nice to Haves:

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Studio is a plus
• Experience in a client facing role is a plus
