As part of the medical informatics team, this position will configure, maintain, support and administer the laboratory information systems (LIS) used for the clinical laboratory operations and support IT & operations related activities.

POSITION OBJECTIVES

• Ensure system is compliant with data integrity best practices for clinical laboratory
• Configure and maintain LIS modules to support the business activities
• Provide sound technical subject matter expertise on local LIS projects and enterprise integration
• Configure static and master data within the LIS
• Validation of LIS subroutines, analyses and other code based functionality
• Assist with writing and execution of test scripts
• Primary point of contact for users to troubleshoot LIS issues
• Be the LIS trainer for internal staff and adopting \'train the trainer\' concept
• Complete mandatory training within required timeframe
• Update LIS related SOPs, Work Instructions, Protocols, and other system specific documentation
• Support administrative activities as required
• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Medical Technology
• Minimum 3 years working experience in health information systems
• Considerable knowledge of information systems used in clinical laboratory
• Ability to organize, communicate, teach, and work with others in an effective manner
• Analytical thinking, good communication and problem solving skills
