Medical Laboratory Technologist (pharmacy Inpatient)
Job Description
SGH is seeking a highly motivated Medical Laboratory Technologist II to work within the SGH Pharmacy Research Laboratory. The successful candidate will assist in Antibiotic Combination Testing (ACT) initiatives based on microbiological assays. In this position, the individual will participate in basic laboratory analysis and verify the results using established protocols and equipment. He/she will perform and monitor required quality control and maintain appropriate documentation. He/She will be able to use available laboratory data or information for daily work processes or troubleshooting of routine problems. This position involves independent bench work and instrumentation operation, method troubleshooting and preparation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Job Requirements
- Degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or equivalent.
- Fundamental knowledge of clinical microbiology will be beneficial
- Desire and ability to learn and work independently as well as in a team setting
- Good general laboratory and organisational skills
