ROLE SUMMARY

The Medical Scientific Specialist (MSS; at Medical Affairs Manager level) is the medical scientific companies\xe2\x80\x99 Point Of Contact for HCPs, medical societies, regulators, academia and other ext. scientific stakeholders.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead medical to medical communications
  • Scientific expert for HCPs, med. Societies, academia, etc.
  • Plans and executes medical scientific strategic plans, as per their specialty role
  • Medical Stakeholders Management
  • Provide medical input to the BUs and contributes to company\xe2\x80\x99s plans through actionable customers\xe2\x80\x99 medical insights
  • Aligns, supports and contributes to different internal stakeholders.
  • Is a key contributor to ensure company\xe2\x80\x99s medical compliance
  • External Medical and Scientific engagement strategy and implementation
  • Support development of cross-BU medical strategy for external stakeholder engagement in alignment with individual business unit medical strategies
  • Establish and strengthen medical and scientific relationship between BU team and external stakeholders
  • Ensure effective data communication and medical insight capturing
  • Collaborate with BU team on conduct of advisory boards; organization and delivery of relevant educational/training workshops/meetings; and participation in medical/scientific conferences.
  • External Collaboration Projects: In collaboration with BU Medical Affairs, ensure timely and efficient communication to complete required internal/external process including system administration, maintain good documentation, tracking in a timely manner.
  • Pfizer-Sponsored Research: Ensure compliance of operational requirements
  • BU Training and Development
  • Capability development, building high performance medical team, enhancing sharing of best practice and cross-BU/cross-functional collaborations
  • Ensure BU team capability (including scientific knowledge) related to medical execution, quality of operation and compliance
  • Solicit and consolidate feedback from external and internal stakeholders in relation to team effectiveness, quantify and communicate the value and effectiveness of medical activities
  • Develop, monitor and report KPIs in relation to medical activity
  • Other Medical Affairs projects as defined by the BU Medical Leads
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education in medicine (preferred) or a health science related discipline (pharmacy, psychology, biology); relevant specialty training desirable
  • Industry, clinical, research or academic experience; with track record of publications preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical research and clinical development processes desirable
2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in medical affairs role

Work Location Assignment: On Premise
