JOB SUMMARY AND KEY JOB RESULTS
The Medical Social Worker is responsible for facilitating financial and other assistance to needy patients.
Key job results include endorsed case of patient to assisting organizations.
Key job result is an endorsed case of patient.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepares and submits daily activity reports to superior.
2. Submits list of qualified recipient of any financial assistance to superior.
3. Submits list of patient classification admitted in clinical and pay-ward based on the interview.
4. Provides patients with relevant documents such as Referral Letter and Endorsement letter which will be used in seeking assistance from government agencies and NGOs.
5. Informs patients or relatives of Clinical Division and House Case patients who will be evaluated using a Notice of Interview.
6. Conducts interviews with Clinical Division and House Case patients to ascertain financial capability.
7. Classifies and evaluates patients according to the hospital classification system.
8. Recommends financial assistance to those who are in need.
9. Conducts home visit to locate relatives of unidentified and abandoned patients.
10. Ensures that patients recommended for financial assistance bring blood donors.
11. Performs other related functions by superiors.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTSEducational Qualification

• College degree preferably graduate of BS Social Work
• Licensed/Registered Social Worker

Experience

• At least 1 year experience as Medical Social Worker in a hospital setting
