Providing social work-based intervention, counselling and emotional support and other assistance to patients and families. Providing medical social service to patients and families to help them cope with social, psychological, financial issues resulting from an illness. Working with the Psychosocial Services team in identifying areas of needs and assists in the coordination of support programmes. Working with multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic care for patients. Supervising social work undergraduates undergoing fieldwork placement. Supervising the work of social service assistants. Planning, organizing and coordination of support programmes
