Job Responsibilities

Deliver social work-based interventions, including counselling, emotional support, and practical assistance to patients and their families. Provide medical social services to help patients and families manage the social, psychological, and financial impact of illness. Collaborate with the Psychosocial Services team to identify areas of need and assist in the coordination of support programmes. Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic and integrated care for patients. Supervise social work undergraduates during their fieldwork placements, fostering professional growth and development. Oversee and guide the work of social service assistants to maintain service quality and effectiveness. Plan, organize, and coordinate support programmes that address the psychosocial needs of patients and families.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Social Work (or with a major in Social Work). Practising Social Worker Accreditation by the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW). Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred. Strong social casework intervention skills. Effective counselling abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel). * Mentoring skills (where applicable).
