Job Description
The Medical Technologist is responsible for providing diagnostic testing on in vitro fertilised embryos of patients undergoing pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT).
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct preimplantation genetic testing for common single gene disorders and chromosomal abnormalities.
- Develop custom genetic diagnostic assays for rare single gene disorders and conduct the PGT for rare single gene disorders.
- Conduct preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies.
- Involve in the general administrative operation and services of the Centre, internal and external audits, and R&D aspect.
- Participate in annual External Quality Assessment (EQA).
- Attend to telephone enquiries/calls and trace results when requested.
- Participate in service quality activities/program.
- Degree in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences or related qualification.
- Prior experience in Molecular Biology, Genomics and Genetics and next-generation sequencing.
- Competent in IT skills.
