To carry out project management and coordination involving multi-disciplinary architectural & engineering works on projects, as directed by the Team Leader;
Set up external and internal project communication protocols and oversee its implementation;
Manage the project activities to ensure critical milestones are achieved and design deliverable are met within agreed schedules;
Assist the Project Director to set up the Project Plan, Project Quality Plan and Project Execution Plan for BIM;
Assist the Project Director to set up the Project Fee, Invoicing and Collection on MHOL;
Monitor and manage the activities and progress of any advance field investigative works to generate information sufficiently for proceeding design by engineers;
Ensure all Concept and Schematic designs have been approved by the Client before progressing to the next stage;
Advise and report to the Project Director, on the completion status of the deliverables and services;
Maintain open dialogue with the Client on all aspect of the projects and build trust and respect with clients (subject to the Communications Protocol);
Ensure all instructions from the Client are clarified and responded duly and professionally;
Assist the Project Director to prepare the Monthly Progress Report and Updated Project Program;
Assist Project Director in calling sub-consultancy tender/quotation, evaluation award and subsequent administration;
Assist Project Director in project invoicing and preparation for variation order if any;
Assist Project Director in verification and certification of payment for sub-consultant\'s works;
Assist Project Director with controlling of scope of work in relation to fee and seek to prevent program drift and scope creep, where possible;
Formalize standards for specifications, drawings etc. in conjunction with Lead Engineer, Local Engineer (QP) and the Project Director;
Coordinate and facilitate resolution of technical issues arising during the project design and/or construction stages;
Handle progress reports and other non-technical correspondences relating to the projects, oversee project records and documentation;
Consciously monitoring project cost and quantity estimates prepared by QS and report any potential overrun of cost;
Attend all client-consultant meetings and design / site progress meetings and record minutes of meetings;
Assist Project Director in employment & management on site supervision staffs;
Work with engineers and technical persons assigned to ensure sufficient resource deployment and satisfactory work completion;
During construction stage monitor progress of the works on site and at any off-site manufacturing facilities and report delays immediately. Set contingency plan to mitigate the situation if required;
To work with QS to manage progress payment and settle project final account including but not limited to checking on payment response reasons from the QS, timely submissions for payment responses;
To assist Superintendent Officer (SO) to draft respective SO instructions and provide draft notices and instructions in accordance with the Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC);
To undertake any other duties related to the project and work as and when instructed by the Project Director and Team Leader;
To organize induction programs and training courses as necessary;
Liaise among the stake-holders with clear and precise project information required for communication;
Requirements
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical);
5- 8 years experience in related work/project management ;
Good communication skills and good interpersonal skills;
Good and proven project management experience and excellent problem solving skills.
