Hurda Metals - a trading firm specialising in ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee and actively participate in daily recycling yard operations across multiple locations in Singapore, including loading/unloading, segregation, weighing, and storage of metal scrap. Monitor site safety, housekeeping, and operational efficiency in strict compliance with workplace safety standards. Handson / Monitor the construction site dismantling of the trunking and cables Work hands-on with the trading and logistics teams to coordinate the smooth movement of incoming and outgoing materials. Track inventory levels and record material movement accurately using internal systems. Supervise, train, and guide a team of general workers, ensuring productivity, discipline, and hands-on support where needed. Liaise with transporters, contractors, and external agencies to ensure seamless operations. Conduct practical, routine checks on equipment and infrastructure, escalating maintenance requirements as necessary. Maintain daily updates of available stock and ensure clear communication with the office team. Prepare and submit daily stock reports to management for accurate inventory tracking and business planning.

Key Qualifications

A bachelor's degree or diploma in any field. 2-5 years of

hands-on experience

in a recycling plant, scrapyard, construction site (dismantling trunking and cables) or industrial operations environment. Practical knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metal grades. Skilled in operating recycling machinery (e.g., shredders, shears) and scrap processing equipment. Experience with basic logistics coordination and stock-handling. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or stock-tracking systems is advantageous. Strong leadership qualities with a
