The Microbiologist will support sampling / monitoring functions pertaining to facilities and utilities in the plant facilities. They are also responsible for monitoring program of facilities and utilities as required. They will also participate in facilities and utilities qualification activities as required. What will you do

• Perform routine/non-routine quality monitoring, sampling and testing of Utility systems inclusive of Purified water, Water for Injection, Pure steam. Compressed air and Nitrogen systems.
• Perform the routine/non-routine environmental monitoring, sampling and testing for all required plants, facilities, clean rooms, hygienic areas and labs.
• Perform personnel qualification / re-qualification and also qualification / re-qualification of the clean rooms, when necessary.
• Provide sampling support to facility validation activities
• Perform routine Batch related Environmental monitoring in clean rooms and other production areas and laboratory.
• Perform periodic review of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Documentation support to the department by participating in writing/revising of SOPs, protocols, Test reports.
• Support investigations
• Prepare/Support Trend Reports for facilities and utilities
• Solicit quotations of laboratory consumables.
• Maintain continuous supply of laboratory consumables including microbiological media
• Participate in Safety, Health & Environment, Business Compliance, cGMP and all other compliance-related matters, where applicable.
• Supervise and oversee Third Party Contractors, where applicable.
• Co-ordinate with Quality, respective Plant Operations, Projects and Engineering & Maintenance.
• Liaise with other department for training needs and technical support
• Liaise with vendor and service engineers for equipment validation, calibration and maintenance work.
• Liaise with external vendors on instrument calibration and maintenance.
• Support any other work assigned by the Lead / Senior Microbiologists and Manager, Microbiology.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Manager.

What you must have Qualifications

• Degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology.
• Min 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Previous OJT is preferred
• Good understanding of Safety and cGMP practices
• Computer Literacy
• Experience in operating laboratory equipment and lab computer systems is very desirable.
• Analytical mindset in problem solving
