Reporting of the role

  • This role reports to: Senior Manager/Asst. Director

  • Responsibly managing clients\' media budgets across various tactics, including digital display, content syndication, broadcast, print, and out-of-home (OOH)
  • Demonstrate expertise by selecting media partners and negotiating favorable rates, considering clients\' goals and target audiences.
  • Use data to continuously monitor campaign performance, evaluate metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns and achieve optimal results.
As a Manager your essential skills revolve around media expertise and strong communication. You will lead a team and be responsible for their performance, including quality assurance of campaign work and ensuring compliance with best practices. Additionally, you will serve as a liaison between the operations and Integrated Planning, facilitating effective communication on workload, client scope compliance, new initiatives, and processes. Collaboration with Integrated Planning teams is crucial to meet the needs of the business and drive success.
In this role, your goals will be:


3-Month:
  • Contribute to the development of buying and negotiation strategies, collaborating with Integrated Planning teams
  • Use research and performance tools to support the development of partner recommendations in collaboration with the Integrated Planning, Analytics and Performance Teams.
  • Take ownership of partner relationship management, supervising the Senior Associate in building and maintaining strong partnerships.
  • Assist in finalizing RFP lists and reviewing proposals with the team.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of IBM processes and guidelines and effectively communicate them to relevant stakeholders.

6-Month

  • Demonstrate expertise in buying and negotiation strategies, independently developing recommendations in collaboration with the Integrated Planning Teams
  • Proactively leverage research and performance tools to drive data-driven partner recommendations and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Effectively manage partner relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and successful collaborations.
  • Lead the process of finalizing RFP lists and actively contribute to the proposal review process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IBM processes and guidelines and support the team in adhering to them.
12-Month Goals:
  • Provide strategic input and innovation in buying and negotiation strategies, driving successful outcomes in partnership.
  • Demonstrate a high level of expertise in research and performance tools, leveraging insights to deliver exceptional partner recommendations and campaign optimizations.
  • Excel in partner relationship management, fostering strong connections and optimizing collaborations for improved campaign results.

What your day job looks like at EightBar:
Plan Development and Recommendation Development
  • Provide input into buying and negotiation strategies, collaborating with the Strategic Negotiations team.
  • Utilize research and performance tools in collaboration with Integrated Planning, Analytics, and Performance teams to develop partner recommendations.
  • Take responsibility for partner relationship management
  • Finalize RFP lists and work with the integrated Planning team to review all proposals.
  • Ensure credit management and understanding and communication of IBM processes and guidelines.
Implementation and Optimization of Campaigns
  • Stay updated on communications with the planning team, including buy authorizations, tracking reports, buy changes, creative specifications, etc.
  • Manage and steward campaigns, including pacing.
  • Collaborate with the Analytics/Research team on reporting and analysis.
  • Generate optimization recommendations in partnership with Analytics/Research and planning teams.
  • Implementing tracking tags and delivering ad assets to ensure accurate data collection and effective ad placement.
Finance Management
  • Ensure accurate and timely approval of vendor invoices and reconciliation with Finance teams.
  • Manage client financials, ensuring all process is up to date and budgets are actualized.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Digital Paid Media, PR or Ad sales
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in marketing or communications related discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills, very detail-oriented
  • Ability to work with Vendors to deliver a test and learn approaches.
  • Team management skills to work well with team mates and confidence managing clients as well
  • Confident with data analysis and insight (i.e. storytelling with data)
  • Strong problem-solving skills; desire for improving how we do what we do
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and on multiple projects, demonstrating a mature ability to handle multiple things at once under pressure.
  • Command of the Microsoft suite (excel and PPT in particular)
