Anchored in our values of Passion for Sport, Strength through Teamwork and Care for People, we believe in working and playing, not just as a team, but as a family.What you will be working on:Service Delivery \xe2\x80\xa2 To plan and optimise Sport Psychology support and delivery to various sport programmes. \xe2\x80\xa2 To provide high-quality, sport-specific, evidence-based, and performance-focused services, to address issues identified by coaches and athletes. Research & Development (R&D) \xe2\x80\xa2 To establish a robust R&D roadmap focused on strategic requirements and targeted issues that will enhance medal winning opportunities. \xe2\x80\xa2 To conduct more upstream research in collaboration with the Universities and Research institutes to remain at the forefront of scientific enquiry. \xe2\x80\xa2 To conduct exercise and health related R&D work that will impact the larger Singapore community. Education \xe2\x80\xa2 To develop and deliver educational materials, as well as to educate coaches, athletes, and students through the means of workshops and courses. \xe2\x80\xa2 To teach, mentor and supervise interns and trainees attached to Singapore Sport Institute. Capability Development \xe2\x80\xa2 To identify knowledge gaps and resources to bridge these gaps. \xe2\x80\xa2 To reach out to the pool of experts in Singapore by engaging with local and international domain experts through seminars and workshops.What we are looking for:We are looking for individuals who are committed to the sporting success in high performance sport. In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following; \xe2\x80\xa2 Background in Sport Psychology, with a postgraduate in/working towards Sport Psychology or related psychological specialty preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 2-3 years of working experience in the area of performance psychology. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in the application of progressive, evidence-based Sport Psychology support to individual athletes, teams, and coaches, in a high-performance sporting environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge and understanding of other sport science disciplines such as physiology, nutrition, strength & conditioning, and biomechanics. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good oral and written communication skills, effective negotiation, and consultation skills, open and dedicated to engaging in respectful and effective relationship building with stakeholders from diverse sports and backgrounds. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to educate and motivate athletes and coaches to embrace scientific support. \xe2\x80\xa2 High levels of initiative and responsibility \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Willingness and ability to work unconventional hours and undertake travel (if required).
