About this role
SAESL is seeking a New Capabilities Programme Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of new capabilities in engine overhaul and component repair. This role will be instrumental in driving new product and component repair introductions that will expand our business revenue streams. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping our future by bringing in new capabilities through new repair processes, advanced technologies, automation, and industrialization solutions.
Programme Management:
Lead the strategic planning and execution of new capability programs, ensuring timely and successful delivery of new engine overhaul and component repair processes.
Capabilities Acquisition:
Oversee the Capabilities Acquisition Team, focusing on new engineering capability acquisition projects, including technology development, industrialization, and automation solutions.
New Product & Repair Process Introduction:
Spearhead initiatives to introduce new repair capabilities and processes, enhancing SAESL"s service offerings and competitive edge.
Technology Maturation:
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including research institutes and system integrators, to mature technologies from Manufacturing Capability Readiness Level (MCRL) to Technology Capability Readiness Level (TCRL).
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and commercial teams, to ensure alignment of new capability developments with business objectives.
Process & Equipment Development:
Drive the industrialization of new repair processes and equipment, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements.
Automation & Digitalization:
Implement automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency, working closely with system integrators and technology providers.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field
Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification (required). PfMP (Portfolio Management Professional), MoP (Management of Portfolios), or equivalent certification (preferred).
Project Management: Proven track record in leading cross-functional projects, managing multiple stakeholders, portfolio risk assessment and resource optimization
Communication & Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and drive change within a dynamic environment.
Proven track record in delivering some/all of the following activities: -
New Product/Process Introduction: Preferably experienced in New Product Introduction (NPI), aerospace component repair technology, and/or process industrialization.
Technical Expertise: Background in developing and industrializing new processes, equipment, or automation solutions.
Industry Collaboration: Experienced working with research institutes, technology providers, or system integrators is advantageous.
Technology Maturation: Strong understanding of MCRL and TCRL concepts and their application in aerospace technology development.
Industrial Engineering Knowledge: Strong knowledge of industrial engineering is advantageous.
Automation Experience: Experience in automation will be an added benefit.
