Job Description


UWCSEA is looking for a Multimedia Content Creator to work for both of our campuses.The Multimedia Content Creator is a storyteller responsible for producing strategic video and photo content designed for use on UWCSEA platforms including the website and social media channels to drive engagement with our community of parents, students and staff and to generate interest in UWCSEA, its mission and learning programme. You will embed yourself in the day-to-day running of the College in order to identify, research and produce strategically-aligned, on-brand multimedia content.Main Responsibilities

  • Research, plan, write, record (video / photography) and produce high value and strategically aligned stories to showcase the College mission and values in action through the day-to-day life of students and staff as well as for high profile events, announcements, initiatives, learning programmes and activities on and off campus.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and independently to manage projects from start to finish.
  • Produce high quality and multi-purpose content for use across College owned assets, communications and marketing collateral and ad placements.
  • Collaborate on content projects with other teams across the College - Manage and execute multiple content projects simultaneously.
  • Identify opportunities to curate, repurpose and adapt existing content to meet the College\xe2\x80\x99s strategic messages and to ensure connected messages across multiple platforms.
  • Provide recommendations on improvements and fixes to current systems, tools and processes as required.
  • Effective and timely management and archiving of the College\xe2\x80\x99s digital media assets and maintaining the digital library. This includes sharing the \xe2\x80\x98best of\xe2\x80\x99 with the designers and social media team, publishing content in Panorama on UWCSEA Perspectives, appropriately tagging assets so that colleagues can find resources they need and want.
  • Assist with the procurement, management and maintenance of the equipment and software required to capture, edit and distribute rich media content.
Person Specifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Visual Communications, Film Making or Journalism
  • 5 or more years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in planning and producing high-quality, compelling audio, multimedia stories, and video content. Previous experience making corporate branded videos and experience making videos in an educational environment is required.
  • A digital native with competency in modern story-telling tools including Shorthand, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
  • Is able to successfully manage multiple stakeholders, projects and deadlines at once
  • An understanding of what drives content results and what is important to measure
  • Fluency in production software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Lightroom
  • A strategic mind with an understanding of Content Marketing, Brand Marketing and Social Marketing
  • Strong storytelling judgement
  • Proficient in English writing and editing
  • High energy, motivated, collaborative and friendly in order to serve as an ambassador for DEER as they work with colleagues and students
  • Able to work independently and flexibly on specific tasks within a team oriented environment
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both adults and school age children from a variety of backgrounds
