Job Description

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Research

• Lead a dynamic research team and succeeding in applications for external research funding, whether individually or as part of a team.
• Publish research papers in top-ranked international peer-reviewed journals and other forms of publication within the research community.
• Establish collaborations with local/overseas research institutions.
• Participate in development opportunities to improve research and supervision skills.

• Design, plan, and implement effective and inclusive teaching arrangements and learning activities for undergraduate- and graduate-level courses face-to-face and/or through virtual delivery.
• Develop, design and continuously improve curriculum plans, course outlines, evaluation procedures and instruments to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure student engagement.
• Provide guidance and supervision to graduate and undergraduate students.
• Seek student feedback on teaching through questionnaires or other sources and respond constructively to such feedback.
• Contribute to the School's internal review and the external accreditation of subjects and programmes.

• Participate in departmental meetings and in other committees and working groups as required.
• Undertake specific departmental roles and management functions as required.
• Provide academic support to other faculty members.
• Participate in the School's outreach/admission-related events and activities to raise awareness of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree programmes.
• Contribute to the University's academic community through developing and organising seminars/conferences.
• Contribute to the wider academic community through active participation in professional scientific societies, editorships, international grant reviewerships, etc.
